Rising sophomore guard Ivan Almeida (Praia, Cape Verde) scored 17 points, about 10 above his average, as Stonehill College cruised to a 79-60 win over Bentley University in Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball Tuesday night.
The game started with Almeida making his first two triple, before Bentley got on the scoreboard.
Stonehill remained unbeaten in the conference, improving to 5-0 NE-10 and 6-1 overall.
Born in 1989, Almeida is a graduate of Esper-Cape Verde High School and was a member of Cape Verde Senior National Team.
