O internacional Cabo-verdiano, Pele, defesa central da equipa Inglesa de Bairns, suspeita ter apanhado uma ruptura do tendão de Aquiles durante o empate de quarta-feira 0-0 com o Motherwell. O jogador de 31 anos deve enfretar uma paragem muito longa, pelo menos ate o final da temporada. Com a lesão do Pele, a equipa de Bairns, que se encontra sem o guarda redes Brian McLean, enfrenta grandes problemas defensivos. Pelé se juntou ao Bairns em novembro após ser liberado pelo West Brom e jogou nove vezes para o clube.

Bairns face defensive problems, Falkirk have been hit by the news that their Cape Verde intentional defender, Pele could be ruled for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old has a suspected ruptured Achilles tendon which he picked up during Wednesday night's 0-0 draw with Motherwell. Pele joined the Bairns in November after being released by West Brom and has played nine times for the club. St Mirren are already without fellow central defender Brian McLean and the news that Pele could be out for the season will come as an extra blow
