Semedo (APOP Kinyras), Player of the week in Cypriot first division

The 30 year-old, Capeverdean, Joao Filipe Correia Semedo , known just as Semedo, is this week's player of the Week. The striker is the leading scorer in the Cypriot first division this season with 13 goals in 16 appearances and 8 goals in his last seven games.
Semedo is a Cape Verde international, who started out in the Portuguese lower leagues and thanks to his impressive scoring skills eventually joined Rio Ave FC.
In January 2009, Semedo moved to APOP Kinyras Peyias FC on a free transfer, scoring goals almost immediately and has started this current season in prolific form.
