Ze Rodrigues (Ze Di Pecha) resigns as Tabanka Coach
After starting the season on a bad note and losing its last 3 games, Clube Tabanka, the winners of NELASA 2009, have suffered a major blow to their 2010 championship aspirations. Criolosports.com has learned that Ze di Pecha has sent a resignation letter to Tabanka ‘s management today, May 17.
Considered by many as NELASA’s best coach, Ze di Pecha, guided the team from Boston, to 2 NELASA league titles, in 2007 and 2009, one NELASA CUP and one SUPER CUP.
Contacted by criolosports.com, the former Capeverdean soccer professional, confirmed the story. He added that he is leaving in good terms with himself and the team. His inability to practice with the team was one of the main reasons for his departure. Ze feels that it is not fair to anyone involved for him to show up at games and try to present a lineup without really knowing how the players are responding at practices. He admits that the timing might not the best due to the fact that Tabanka has yet to present their best soccer. He also feels that with the personnel in place Tabanka can still make another run at the title this year.
The former football club Sparta player aspires to achieve the highest coaching certification credentials in order to further his football coaching career.

Zé Rodrigues (Zé di Pecha) renuncia ao cargo de treinador Tabanka
Depois de um mau inicio da temporada de 2009, e perder os 3 ultimos jogos, Tabanka, equipa vencedora da NELASA de 2009, sofreu um golpe duro nas suas aspirações ao titulo para 2010. Criolosports.com soube que Zé dI Pecha enviou uma carta de renúncia à direccao de Tabanka. Considerado por muitos como o melhor treinador da NELASA, Zé di Pecha, orientou a equipe de Boston, a 2 campeonatos, uma TACA e uma SUPER-TACA.
Contactado pelo criolosports.com, o ex-profissional do futebol cabo-verdiano, confirmou a história. Ele acrescentou que está saindo em bons termos com ele e com a equipe, devido a motivos pessoais que lhe impedem de participar nos treinos. O treinador admite que o momento da renuncia pode não ser ideal devido ao facto de que Tabanka ainda nao apresentou o seu melhor futebol este ano. Ze sente que, com o pessoal que Tabanka tem, o clube de Boston ainda pode fazer uma outra corrida ao título este ano.
O ex-jogador do clube de futebol Sparta aspira em conseguir a certificação de treinador professional para continuar a sua carreira de treinador de futebol.
